Koforidua, April 7, GNA- Six youngsters believed to be students of the Pope John Secondary School (POJOSS) at Effiduase near Koforidua, are assisting Koforidua Police for allegedly attacking and destroying property of the Ghana Secondary School (GHANASS) at Koforidua.

ASP Thomas T. MacCathy of the Eastern Regional Police Command said at about 2300 hours on Tuesday, there was a telephone call from the GHANASS that some students from POJOSS had invaded their campus and were throwing stones and causing chaos in the school.

He said the police dispatched policemen to the School and on their way, around the Effiduase Police Station, they found some people suspected to be students holding their sandals and coming from the direction of GHANASS. ASP MacCathy said the police ignored them and proceeded to the school where the authorities informed them that the invaders had left a short while ago.

He said the policemen then went to the POJOSS campus and on reaching a junction near the school, they came upon a group of youths who took to their heels on seeing the police vehicle but they were pursued and arrested. ASP MacCathy said the students caused damage to some security lights at the GHANASS campus.
