Some miscreants suspected to be supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Monday December 12 stormed the Suame sub-metro office of the Local Enterprises and skills Development Programme (LESDEP) to drive out workers, Suame sub-metro coordinator for LESDEP, Isham Alhassan, has alleged.

According to him, it took the timely intervention of the Suame Police to avert what would have been a serious clash.

Speaking in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yesom on Accra 100.5FM on Tuesday December 13, he narrated that: “On Saturday, after the elections were over, some persons stormed the LESDEP office in Suame in the night and made away with files and computers. We have reported the matter to the Suame police who are doing their investigations.”

He continued: “We thought that after reporting the matter to the police, everything would be over however, on Monday December 12, when I went to the office to take inventory of the items remaining to enable me write accurate report, some well-built men in NPP T-Shirts stormed the office to drive me out, saying that they did want me to tamper with documents and other materials. But I called the Police to intervene" adding "they fled upon noticing the presence of the police. I could not identify those who stormed the office on Saturday but I am very sure of those who came there on Monday.”
