Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, Fredrick Opare–Ansah has donated over 300 street light bulbs to some of the communities in his area.
The donation worth GH?240,000.00 among other relief items were given to the constituents depending on the needs of the various communities.
He also uses the opportunity to school the residents on government key policies such as; the Double Track Free SHS System, One District, One Factory, NEIP, YEA, Afforestation projects, NHIS among other policies.
The Suhum Mugabe as affectionately called urged them should not be afraid of the current power outages and should not admit that 'Dumsor' is back since President Akufo Addo holds the keys to end it in no time.
The Suhum Lawmaker who engages his constituents as part of his outreach tour noted that the Akufo-Addo led government has laid down pragmatic steps that have reduced electricity bills and still on course to make it more affordable.
He said all these make the president a wonderful person and urged his constituents to hoot at those who claim Dumsor is back for Dumsor is not back.
School Roofing
Frederick Opare Ansah, further donated 20 bags of cement and 500 pieces of roofing sheets to support the Obuotumpan MA Basic School as their roofs were raided by a heavy downpour some weeks ago.
He expressed that, the school building at Obuotumpan was constructed through his effort and for that matter, deeming it necessary to refurbish the roofing as it was being raided through a heavy rainstorm.
Drone
He, therefore, visited the drone center located at his constituency, Omenako, as the issue of the drone has become a big matter in the country.
However, he has allayed fears with regards to the drone taking naked pictures of people at their various houses.
“I am aware, very soon the national security will come out with the regulations on the drone operations in their quest to bring sanity in the country. I am very happy that the government has taken that step looking at the timespan between taking off from the center and getting to major medical facilities in and around us is very impressive’’.
He added that’’ We know there will be a bit challenges that would confront the initiative but in all, I think it would benefit Ghanaians”.
According to the Member of Parliament, he is optimistic of challenges that would confront the drones could be rectified since there are engineers there at the center.
