Nana Musah Gyedum, Local President of the Gomoa Mangoase branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslims Saturday said the foundation for success starts with education so stakeholders should support children to identify and develop their talent for the development of society.

Nana Gyedum said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the Gomoa Mangoase Central East Ahmadiyya Muslims Headquarters, during the celebration of the Eid-Ul-Adha.

“We need to help them harness their talent, mentor them very well to be able aspire to higher heights in the society”, he said According to Nana Gyedum, stakeholders should remember that they have a collective role to play in ensuring that, the future of the country is protected and preserved, by utilizing “our resources properly to have a strong and formidable workforce to forge ahead.”

He expressed worry about the youth of today, who do not respect authority, dress indecently, abuse drugs, and engaging in pre-marital sex and attacking personalities in the news papers and on the air waves, and said measures must be taken to stop such behaviours.

Mobashir–Ibrahim, Central Regional Ahmadiyya Muslims President, said it was about time policy makers reviewed the Children and the Human Right Acts, to deal with people whose utterances and behaviors are not beneficial to the society.
