The Grace Compassion Global Foundation has held its maiden Educational Impact and Workforce Innovation Symposium and Awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.

The event took place on May 14, 2026, under the theme “Connecting Education and Industry to Power Ghana’s Growth.”

The symposium brought together stakeholders in education, industry, and development to explore ways of bridging the gap between academic training and workforce needs in Ghana.

Organisers said the awards were introduced to recognise individuals and institutions contributing to education, workforce development, economic empowerment, and community impact.

Award categories included the Economic Empowerment Award, Workforce Development Award, Impact Award, Academic Excellence and Innovation Award, and Legacy of Service Award.

In addition, the T.D. Jakes Foundation received the Global Impact Award in recognition of its international influence and contributions to transformational development.

Notable awardees included former Secretary of Education Dr. Joyce Aryee and media personality Gifty Anti, among other dignitaries.

Organisers said the initiative was aimed at celebrating leaders, organisations, and visionaries whose work continues to advance education, workforce development, and economic empowerment in Ghana and beyond.
