Tema, Aug. 4, GNA - Management of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) on Monday presented computers and accessories worth GH¢10,000 to the Tema Secondary School (TEMACSO) to equip its computer laboratory. The items were made up of eight each of Monitors, Printers, Central Processing Units (CPU) and Pen Drives.
Mrs Aba Lokko, Public Affairs Manager of TOR who made the presentation explained that the gesture, which was in fulfilment of a promise made to the school last year, formed part of TOR's social responsibility.
She noted that most of the skilled staff of TOR were products of TEMASCO, whose contributions have impacted positively on the organisation and society as a whole. Mr Kingsley Kofi Ditsa, General Manager in charge of Health, Safety and Environment of TOR, a product of the school pledged his organization's continued support for the school.
Receiving the items, Mrs Elizabeth Asare, Headmistress, promised to ensure that the students made good use of the computers to enrich their knowledge in the Information Communication Technology, which she said was a compulsory subject for students. She appealed to the management of TOR not to hesitate to employ students of the school who qualify for positions.
