Tepa (Ash), Jan 10, GNA - Mr Akwasi Adu-Poku, Ahafo-Ano North District Chief Executive, has called on school children to take the Vice-President's campaign on discipline seriously if they want to get recognition in their communities and become responsible citizens in future.
He told the children that people who were disciplined are able to regulate their lives and activities and quickly realise their shortcomings for correction instead of blaming others for their woes. Mr Adu-Poku said this at the President's end-of-year children's party for about 350 selected school children at Tepa, on Tuesday. He advised the children to take their studies seriously, respect their parents and elders, be law abiding and obey school rules and regulations.
The DCE said the government recognising the dangers of HIV/AIDS, had committed huge sums of money and other resources to educate the people on it and cautioned them against indulging in early sex, which was a potential source of the disease and to stay away from narcotic drugs.
