The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency of the Northern Region, Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini has eulogized his predecessor, Alhaji Abubakari sumani who was buried today August 13, 2017, in Tamale.
The former lawmaker and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Saudi Arabia died on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he was admission receiving treatment.
Suhuyini described him as a father whose words of encouragement and cautions are eternal.
In a solemn tribute to the late lawmaker, he said;” even if unstated our use of Social Media shouldn’t be without ethics that uphold our traditional courtesies.
Besides politics our late father and former Tamale North MP, former ambassador and former Board Chair GHAPOHA and PPA respectively Hon Alhaji Abukari Sumani was a royal and it is only conscionable that the family was allowed to take control of the loss and appropriately inform all relevant stakeholders before our public expressions of our commiserations. I’m sorry I disappointed all those who monitored this page for the confirmation of the sad news.

At the funeral of Alhaji Hudu Yahaya’s mum last year when I came to greet you, as usual, you hugged me and said to reinforce my belief “it is God, not a man, who will continue to elevate you, so fear not”.
