Tarkwa Cyanide gets taxi Rank

Tarkwa, July 13, GNA - A 9.8million cedis taxi rank for the Tarkwa Cyanide Electoral Area was commissioned over the weekend. The funds were mobilised from members within the area as part of their development programmes.

Mr Samuel K. Sey, Chairman of the taxi rank, commended the assemblyman for the initiative and urged the surrounding communities to make maximum use of the station.

He said the station could become beneficial to the entire community and commuters if there was peace and advised them to live amicably with each other.

Mr Tim Nankara, District Development Planning Officer said the Wassa West District Assembly would soon establish a market to facilitate trade among the people in the area.

Mr Robert Affum-Fianko, Assemblyman for the area said, so far, the Assembly had spent 80.6 million cedis on developments projects including the rehabilitation of six public toilets and 33 streetlights. He said 12 wells were currently being sunk to improve the water situation in the community at a cost of 2.3 million cedis.
