Tarkwa-Nsuaem MP gives to two schools and a community

Tarkwa (W/R), May 17, GNA - Mrs Eugenia Gifty Kusi, Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, at separate functions at the weekend, presented 30 bags of cement each to the John Taylor District Council and Jesus Mmofrayanko primary schools both in the Cyanide electoral area. The cement, which was purchased from her share of the MP's Common Fund at estimated cost of three million cedis, was to support the communities to rehabilitate the dilapidated classroom blocks of the schools.

She advised pupils of the beneficiary schools to study hard to ensure that they lay a firm foundation for their future. Mr Robert Affum-Fianko, assembly member for the area and Mrs Cecilia Hayford, proprietor of Jesus Mmofranyanko School, who received the cement, thanked the MP for the gesture.

They appealed for more assistance from individuals and organisations to improve facilities at the schools.

In another development, Mrs Kusi, at the weekend presented 100 plastic chairs and 50 bags of cement to the people of Senyakrom near Tarkwa to promote social activities of the community.

Nana Kofi Asmah, chief of the town received the gifts on behalf of the people and thanked Mrs Kusi for the donation.
