A taxi driver, identified as Prince Kwame Yeboah, has drowned in an abandoned irrigation dam at Pokrom Nsabaa, a community near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The incident happened Sunday at about 1:30pm when the deceased together with his siblings went to swim in the dam but reportedly swam to the deeper side of the dam leading to him drowning.
The body was subsequently retrieved by the help of community members and conveyed to the Nsawam Government Hospital morgue by the Police.
Investigation has commenced into the incident.
