Begoro, Sept 18, GNA - The Fanteakwa District Director of Education, Miss Mary Animwuah, has said the objective of the District Assembly Teacher Trainee Sponsorship Programme would be defeated if the grandaunts refused to accept posting to deprived schools. Addressing a one-day induction course for 87 newly trained teachers posted to the district at Begoro on Friday, Miss Animwah said some newly trained teachers connived with quack doctors to collect medical certificates to change their schools for them on medical grounds. She said the directorate would not accept any medical certificate that sought to change schools for teachers.

The District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa, Mr Ebenezer Ofoe Caesar, appealed to teachers to channel any grievances through the appropriate channel for redress rather than going on strike action.
