Techiman (B/A), Aug. 1, GNA - The Techiman Municipal Assembly is spending about 1,707,393 billion cedis on the construction of a four-storey administrative block to house decentralised departments, agencies, boards and corporations.
Mr. Isaac Osei-Antwi, Techiman Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), who announced this while conducting newsmen round the project site, said the project would be completed by December this year. He said so far 671,210,587 cedis from the common fund had been spent on the project. The MCE said the project would enhance the decentralisation policy as there would be effective co-ordination and proper planning towards the development of the municipality. He commended the contractor J. Adom Limited for their dedication to duty and urged them to speed up on its early completion.
More than 60 departments will be housed and equipped with communication gadgets when the project is completed, the MCE added. Mr. James Ampah, Works Foreman, assured the MCE that the project would be completed on schedule, adding that the only problem facing them was inadequate boards and wood.
