Sunyani, Oct 17, GNA- The Techiman District Office of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) resolved 57 out of 107 cases it received between July and September.

The cases included 26 on non-maintenance of children, 14 on paternity, tenancy matters 28, unfair treatment 23 and child custody three.

In a quarterly report signed by Mr Kwasi Asante Boateng, District Director, six of the cases were withdrawn to be settled out of the Commission, seven were sent to court, 30 are still pending before it whilst seven were abandoned for lack of interest.

On problems facing the office, the report mentioned inadequate means of transport as a major challenge hindering the Commission's education programmes.

It, however, noted that the office's public education programme is on course and commended the managements of Asta and Classic FM radio stations in the district for giving 30 minutes free air time to the Commission twice every week for the programme.
