Techiman to form health committees

Techiman (B/A), Feb 04, GNA - The Techiman Municipal Environmental Health Division is to form Community Management Committees to man all refuse containers in the Municipality.

Mr. John Asamani, Secretary of the Techiman Municipal Environmental Health Management Team, said 42 refuse containers had placed at various parts of the municipality.

Mr. Asamani said the idea of forming the committees was to get the community members involved in the management of refuse to ensure improvement in sanitation.

Committee members would be made up of assembly members, unit committee members, opinion leaders as well as chiefs.
