All the constituency executives of the NPP in the Ejura Sekyeredumasi district are on the side of the DCE, Madam Elisabeth Owusu, against the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Samuel N. Abagna, and his allied forces.
The inability of the NPP executive to get more support from members of the Assembly has saved Madam Owusu from the usual “vote of no confidence” to be passed on her.
The paper’s investigations revealed that, this impasse degenerated into factionalism within the Assembly to the extent that the election of a presiding member was conducted six times before the two-third majority required for a member’s election to be regularized was achieved.
