Tepa MTTU warns motorbike riders

Tepa, (Ash), Oct. 23, GNA- The Tepa branch of the MTTU of the Ghana Police Service, has warned motor bike riders in Tepa in the Ahafo-Ano North District, to be law abiding and desist from riding motorbikes without crash helmets and licenses. Chief Inspector Prosper Yao Aheto of the Tepa police gave the warning on Sunday when he briefed the GNA. Mr Aheto said riding without crash helmet was becoming fashionable in the Tepa township and described the situation as not only dangerous but also unlawful.

Mr Aheto said riding without crash helmet was becoming fashionable in the Tepa township and described the situation as not only dangerous but also unlawful. He said people who rode unregistered motorbikes and bicycles in the night without lights posed a serious danger to other motorists and road users and advised them to stop the practice. Chief Inspector Aheto cautioned drivers to observe motor traffic regulations and drive with care to avoid preventable accidents on the roads.
