Accra, June 25, GNA - The Theological Science Society (TSS) of Ghana at the weekend launched its 50th anniversary celebrations. The celebrations are on the theme: Theological Science Society, a modern system for enlightening humanity for a happier, successful and productive life".
Among the programmes laid out for the celebrations include public lectures, charity donations, and be climaxed with a national convention on the first Saturday and Sunday of September, this year. The global president is expected to attend.
The Society, which currently has about 1,000 members nationwide, is an international brotherhood of men and women from all walks of life. It launched its golden jubilee, at a press conference in Accra, which was addressed by the Chairman of the Ghana Branch and Director General, Brother Mark Jirmy Kwansah. Speaking on beliefs and activities of the Society, Brother Kwansah said belief system of members of the Society is based on the fundamental principle of Theological Science-the science of the spiritual atonement of Deity and Man, because of the manifest omnipresence of the omnipotence of God.
Membership of the Society cuts across professions and vocations, and fellows in good standing are offered, and are entitled to the instruction and training for personal development through self-knowledge, offered free of charge by the Society. During question time, executive members of the Society, including Brother Nikoi Kotey, former Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board, who chaired the confab, stated that, the Society was not a secret society. He said the principal contribution of the Society has been in the area of human resource development, through personal development and self-knowledge.
