Three institutions donate cement to Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Oct.17, GNA - The Dormaa-Ahenkro Local Council of Religious bodies, Dormaa District Assembly, two Parliamentarians and a Deputy Minister of State have jointly donated 500 bags of cement valued at 32.4 million cedis to the Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa Ahenkro.

The presentation made by the two institutions and Mr. Yaw Asiedu Mensah and Mr. Yaw Ntow Ababio, both Parliamentarians in the district and Mr. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning were in response to an appeal made by the hospital. Squadron-Leader Ben Anane-Asamoah (Rtd), District Chief Executive, said improvement in health facilities in the district for the provision of quality health care was one of the Assembly's priority areas. He said the Assembly would continue to offer assistance to the hospital to improve on their facilities. Reverend Felix John Yeboah, Chairman of the Council of Religious Bodies said their contribution was part of the church's social responsibilities.

He explained that religious bodies formed an integral part in nation building and should not shirk their social responsibilities to the well being of their members and society. Mr Peter Mensah, the hospital administrator, who received the cement thanked the donors for the gesture and pledged that the cement would be utilized for the intended purpose. 17 Oct.05
