Three persons declare interest in Dormaa West NDC parliamentary primaries

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A) Oct. 4, GNA – Three persons in Dormaa West, including Mr Vincent Oppong Asamoah, Dormaa Municipal Chief Executive, have filed their nomination to contest the impending National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries to select a parliamentary candidate for 2012 General Election.

The others are Professor Kwame Agyenim Boateng, a US-based lecturer who also doubles as the Washington Metropolitan Chairman of the NDC and Mr Gordon Asubonteng, Masters in Business Administration student.

Apart from Mr Asubonteng who submitted his forms personally, the two other contestants did so through representatives.

Mr Hayford Yeboah, the Party’s Constituency Secretary, who received the nomination forms announced that the candidates would soon face a panel for vetting.

He advised the candidates to hold clean and incident-free campaigns devoid of insults and acrimony.

Mr Yeboah said the three candidates are all from the same “family” with a “Better Ghana” agenda.

Meanwhile, the Presiding Member for Dormaa-East District Assembly, Mr Ali Ibrahim Adjei and Mr Frank Kwadwo Kumi, a tutor at Dormaa Senior High School, have also filed their nomination to contest the NDC primaries in the Dormaa-East Constituency.

Submitting the forms the two candidates declared their readiness to submit to the rules and regulations of the build-up to the primaries with each of them emphasising convincing victory at the polls.

The NDC Constituency Secretary; Mr Seth Agyarko expressed the hope that the candidate would exhibit a sense of decorum during their campaigns.
