Mpraeso, April 2, GNA - A Circuit Court at Mpraeso, presided over by Mr Kwabena Assumang Adu, has remanded three persons, including a woman, in police custody till April 8, charged with possessing seven voters registration slips ostensibly intended to be used to commit crime. The three suspects, whose plea were not taken, included Janet Kyerewaa, a Zonal Supervisor at the Kwahu South District Office of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED), Obeng Wiredu, a Pupil Teacher and Kwame Asamoah, a plumber, while an accomplice, named Agyenim Boateng, is on the run.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Alexander Gyamera Acheampong, told the court that following a tip-off that some people were having more than one voter's registration slips with them, seven registration slips bearing different names were found in possession with the suspects without authority. The Prosecutor appealed to the court to remand them in custody to enable the police to complete their investigations.
