Two couples and the Nkoranza Wesley Methodist Church have presented relief items worth about GHC1, 200 to 30 victims of the fire disaster at Asuoso, a farming community in the Nkoranza South Municipality.

The couples are Mr and Mrs Effah Guakro, President of the Nkoranza South Municipal Branch of the Ghana Federation of the Physically Challenged and Mr and Mrs Eric Adu Baffoe Attakora, Italy-based Ghanaian business executives.

The items, which included clothing and footwear, were distributed among the men, women and children who were affected.

Mr Akrapim Baffoe, Assemblyman for the area at Asuoso disclosed to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.

He said the victims were displaced following a bushfire that swept through the farming community when most of the people had gone far about a fortnight ago.

Mr Baffoe expressed appreciation to the philanthropists for their kind gesture and asked other individuals, institutions and organisations to emulate their gestures.
