Wioso (Ash) Jan 21, GNA - Two mourners returning from a funeral were killed and nine others injured when the bus on which they were travelling was involved in an accident at Wioso on the Kumasi/Bibiani road. The deceased were identified as Akua Nimoh, 47, and Georgina Owusu Ansah, 55, both from Adiembra near Nyinahin. The injured are receiving treatment for deep cuts and broken bones at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). Deputy Superintendent of Police Peter Ofori Donkor, the Nkawie Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that the mourners had attended a funeral at Ntabaanu in the Atwima-Nwabiagya district. As they made their way back, the driver of another vehicle who was joining the highway from a branch road failed to stop and ran into their bus. The driver, he said, escaped unhurt and is assisting police investigations.
