Two point $8mn fuel service station opens in Kumasi

Kumasi, Aug 22, GNA - A 2.8 million-dollars fuel service station was on Wednesday commissioned at a ceremony at Manhyia in Kumasi. The station, which was constructed by Mobil Oil Ghana, in cooperation with Innscor, a South Africa based confectionery company, comprised chicken, pizza, creamy and food service inns and play ground for children.

Mr Sam Karim, Managing Director of Mobil Oil Ghana, said the Manhyia station brings to two, the food court service concept in the country and the only two in the West African sub-region. He said the company plans to establish additional two sites in Sakumono and the 37 Military Hospital in Accra to bring the investment to four, all worth six million dollars.

He commended the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for releasing land for the project.

Oheneba Adusei Poku, Akyempimhene, who commissioned the project on behalf of the Asantehene, pledged the support of the Manhyia Palace to companies and organisations who, wish to invest in the region.
