Bolgatanga, July 7, GNA - The Upper East Regional branch of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), has urged its leadership to impress upon government to migrate them onto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
In a resolution issued and signed by the Regional Chairman, Mr Paul N. Agoo, at the end of a meeting held in Bolgatanga, stated that, either the leadership work with the government to speed up the implementation of the SSSS or ask for salary adjustment from government.
"We are all aware of the fact that prices of goods and services have risen and workers are unable to make ends meet. We therefore call on the leadership of the National Secretariat of CLOGSAG to with immediate effect meet the government and demand for payment of our SSSS or ask for adjustment of our salaries by the end of July 2011".
They warned that they would no longer embark upon demonstrations this time around, but would call for a nationwide strike if their demands were not met.
