Wa, Nov 25, GNA- Mr Dominic A. B. Nitiwul, Member of Parliament for Bimbilla on Monday stated that the NPP would pursue good policies to win the 2004 general elections.

''In the 2000 general elections we promised the electorate things that we could do and today almost all the promises have been fulfilled and that is what our electorate will use to measure us'' he said.

Mr. Nitiwul was inaugurating the University of Development Studies (UDS) Wa campus branch of the NPP at Tescom at Wa.

He said the NPP would not dish out money to convince the electorate to vote for the party.

" It would rather base its political campaign on achievements chalked by it ".

Mr Nitiwul said the NDC propaganda against the NPP was unfounded. Mr Nitiwul called on all NPP supporters and Ghanaians for that matter not to be swayed by lies peddled by political opponents, as they have no proof to the allegations.

Mr Amin Mohammed Adam NPP Parliamentary candidate for Cheggu/Tishiegu in the Northern Region said the International world has recognised the concrete economics policies of the NPP government and that was why most of the countries were turning their loans into grants for Ghana.

He said the Spanish and Japanese governments have within two years given Ghana grants for development projects and urged all Ghanaians to rally behind the NPP government in the next year elections.

Mr. Sahanun Mogtari, Upper West Regional Minister who chaired the function said the NPP government was not discriminatory in the provision of development projects in the country and called on students as the mirror of future generations to educate their colleagues on the good governance of the party.

The Tescon Executive members who were sworn-in by Mr. Nitiwul included, Alhassan Osman chairman, Emmanuel Adu Boahen Vice Chairman, Ayorogo Bismark Adongo Secretary Vida Blay Treasurer and Ben Boah, Organising secretary. There were solidarity messages from NDC Tein members and PNC students' leadership.
