A 53-year-old security officer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Mr Moses Ohene, was on Monday killed on the spot when he was hit by a vehicle at Gyatekrom Area near Winneba.
The Winneba Municipal Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transports Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) confirmed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Winneba on Tuesday.
According to the MTTU Commander, Mr Ohene was crossing the road with his motor bike when he was knocked down by an oncoming vehicle, killing him instantly.
The MTTU commander said Ohene’s body has been deposited at the mortuary of the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy while police investigations continue.
