Dr Samuel Donkor, President of the All Nations University College (ANUC), has advised students against indecent dressing on campus, to ensure discipline.
Speaking at a matriculation ceremony for 814 students, admitted to pursue various programmes this academic year, the President pointed out that indecent dressing was inimical to good character and personality development, and would therefore not be countenanced.
Dr Donkor told the students that, their business in the school was learning, and not dressing, adding that, dressing determined a person’s character, and therefore urged them to be mindful of it.
He urged the students not to allow themselves to be distracted by peer pressure, but rather focus on their books and studies, since that was their core business.
The President reminded the matriculants of the enormity and stress of university education, which he said, involved maximum efforts to excel, and admonished them to do away with unnecessary activities and lifestyles that could affect their studies.
Dr Donkor announced that for the students’ welfare, a new hostel and a cafeteria had been provided to ease their off-campus accommodation and food problems, and urged them to make use of the facility to give them the conducive environment and time to focus on their studies.
