The Upper Denkyira West District Assembly has honoured outstanding teachers in the district as part of activities marking Ghana Independence Day, recognizing their dedication and contribution to education.

The District Teachers’ Awards ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service District Education Directorate, celebrated hardworking teachers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving teaching and learning outcomes in the district.

Speaking at the event, the District Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira West, Isaac Nsiah, who served as the Special Guest of Honour, highlighted key government interventions aimed at strengthening the education sector and other areas of national development.

He noted that such initiatives are designed to enhance teaching and learning while improving the overall quality of education across the country.

Nsiah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting teachers and providing the necessary resources to help them deliver quality education to students in the district.

The programme brought together traditional leaders, including Nananom, the Member of Parliament for the area, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, the District Coordinating Director, and the District Director of Education.

Also present were heads of educational institutions, Assembly Members, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), students and other stakeholders in the education sector.

Nsiah congratulated all award winners and nominees for their dedication and outstanding service to education in the district.
