The National House of Chiefs has advised Mr Robert Nachinab Doameng Mosore, who has been recently enskined as the paramount chief of Talensi, to use the clout accompanying his royal seat to unite all political forces.
“This will help accelerate development in the area,” said a statement issued by the House of Chiefs, on Tuesday, to welcome him to the House.
Mr Mosore was the Member of Parliament for the Talensi Constituency until his enskinment.
The statement signed for Wulugu Naaba Pugansoa Naa Professor S. Nabila, the President of the House, congratulated the former MPs decision to resign from his political career and embrace the royal seat.
“Chieftaincy is a very sacred and revered institution and any royal who journeys into the institution must be given a royal welcome,” it explained.
His abdication is in line with articles 276 and 277 of the 1992 Constitution, which forbid chiefs from taking active participation in party politics.
