A Social Media expert and Director Learn Again Foundation has advised Ghanaians to be smart and wise in using social media platforms.
Mr. Jesse Gyau Kusi says majority of internet users today are not exercising great caution with which they use it.
He says, it is paramount to exercise great caution online including what users post, and how they react to what other people comments post.
”Offline you are a different person, and online, your digital footprints present you as a different person. Professionally, Ethically, socially, we need to exercise great caution online” He says
Mr. Jesse Gyau Kusi was speaking to the press on the sideline of Connected thinking 3.0 Digital safety and citizenship training.
The digital training, put-up by the No Business As Usual collaborated with Learn Again Foundation was part of effort by the NBU Hub to promote a safe online environment within Entrepreneurs in the Ashanti Region.
The Entrepreneurs were trained in digital attitudes and how to build credible profile online.
Addressing the trainees on Safety tips for staying online, Collaborative Learning Coordinator of Learn Again Foundation, Mr. Beganim Maxwell, says online safety is not negotiable.
One should have a sense of privacy online for that is the pipeline to staying safe online.
“The things you think are funny today might not be funny years to come, online safety is not negotiable, it is your responsibility to be safe online” he adds
