Vodafone Foundation supports 37 Military Hospital

Vodafone Foundation, the charitable arm of Vodafone Ghana, has given a cheque for GH?28,000.00 to the 37 military Hospital to pay for the hospital bills of needy patients.

Mr Ebenezer Amankwa said, Corporate Communication Manager of Vodafone Ghana, said the gesture forms part of its Homecoming programme, where the Foundation pays for the hospital bills of sick patients who are discharged but could not pay their bills.

He said, as part of the programme, the Vodafone Foundation is also providing equipment to the 37 Military Hospital, including holding a party for patients at the Children’s’ ward.

He said such programme is also being replicated at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and in the Central Region.

Mr Amankwa said the issue of health is very crucial to Vodafone Ghana and it is very much committed to invest in the sector.

He gave the assurance that, the telecom operator would continue to sustain programmes such as the Homecoming to support needy patients.

Colonel Christian Agbeke, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the 37 Military Hospital commended Vodafone Ghana for the support and called on others to emulate.
