Ho, Dec. 27, GNA - Volta Premier FM, a private radio station owned by the Ho Polytechnic on Sunday organized a Christmas party for deprived children in the Ho Municipality. The party, which was the first of its kind in the region, attracted over 2000 children, who were treated to food, soft drinks, biscuits and toffees. The children were also privileged to see and have a physical contact with Santa-Clause (Father Christmas) in a live procession through the principal street of Ho.
Ho, Dec. 27, GNA - Volta Premier FM, a private radio station owned by the Ho Polytechnic on Sunday organized a Christmas party for deprived children in the Ho Municipality. The party, which was the first of its kind in the region, attracted over 2000 children, who were treated to food, soft drinks, biscuits and toffees. The children were also privileged to see and have a physical contact with Santa-Clause (Father Christmas) in a live procession through the principal street of Ho. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Israel Pentem, the Station Manager said the programme was in accordance with the station's social responsibility policy. He said management of the station thought that there was no time as Christmas to show commitment to problems of its coverage area. The three-hour programme also attracted Mr Mawutor Goh, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive and Captain George Nfordjo (rtd), Member of Parliament for Ho Central. The station and some other benevolent organizations in the municipality sponsored the party.
