The Volta Regional House of Chiefs has recently concluded its elections, with Togbe Tepre Hodo IV and Togbe Patamia Dzekle retaining their positions as President and Vice President, respectively.
This milestone presents an opportunity for the region to come together and work towards a common goal of development and progress.
Traditional leaders play a crucial role in national security and community development.
The re-election of Togbe Tepre Hodo IV and Togbe Patamia Dzekle is expected to bring continuity and stability to the VRHC, allowing them to build on their achievements and pursue their vision for the region.
However, the true test of leadership lies in the ability to unite and work together, regardless of electoral outcomes. We call on both winners and losers to put aside their differences and join forces in the interest of the region. The Volta Region deserves nothing but the best.
We urge citizens of the Volta Region to join hands with their leaders. Together, we can support Local Initiatives, participate in community development projects and support local businesses, engage in constructive dialogue, and share ideas and concerns with traditional leaders and local authorities. Also, promote peace and unity, and foster a culture of tolerance and understanding among diverse communities.
As Togbe Tepre Hodo IV aptly put it, "The election is the time for all of us to look at what we can do to ensure continuous progress and growth of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs"
Let us seize this moment and work towards a brighter future for the Volta Region.
Long live the Volta Region!
Long live Ghana!
