The home of the Municipal Chief Executive in Wa in the Upper West Region has been ransacked by some unknown thugs in the community.
Several properties including TV sets, clothes and other electronic gadgets were all destroyed in the attack.
Windows of the MCE’s house were also smashed while furniture, cooking utensils and consumables were scattered on the floor in the house.
According to reports, the attack was carried out in the absence of the MCE, Mr. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin.
Information gathered indicate that the attack was allegedly carried out on the orders of the Wa Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Alhaji Ali Kamara, due to a long misunderstanding between the two.
The chairman has been noted of voicing out that he has not campaign for the MCE during the 2016 parliamentary elections when the MCE was on the ticket of the NPP.

I DIDN’T CAMPAIGN FOR NPP PC – CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN DISCLOSED
The Wa Central Constituency chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Ali Kunsaanpuo Kamara, has revealed that he never campaigned for the NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC), Alhaj Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, in the run up to the 2016 general elections. According to him, winning the national election for the NPP as a party was his utmost concern and not the parliamentary seat. As a result he decided not to involve himself with the parliamentary seat campaign at the time. He disclosed this in response to a question on whether he campaigned for the opposition NDC 2016 Parliamentary Candidate and Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Alhaj Dr. Rashid Pelpuo or not.
These latest revelations came at a time when rumours that there is bad blood between the Constituency Chairman, Ali Kamara, and Issahaku Tahiru Moomin who is the current Wa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) are rife.
Speaking to Abubakari Issaka (Abu Bipoli) on Radio Waa late afternoon socio-political programme, Yelikaabaahi, Chairman Kamara said “I have not campaigned for any candidate in the 2016 election. I swear with everything that I never mentioned any PC’s name during my campaign outings.”
He further debunked allegations that he went on campaigns with the former MCE, Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, in favour of the NDC 2016 parliamentary candidate.
He challenged anybody who has evidence against him on that to prove him wrong.
Chairman Ali Kamara also said campaign funds meant for the 2016 elections in the Wa Central never got to him as constituency chairman.
He alleged that these monies and other resources were been kept and used by the parliamentary candidate himself without recourse to him as a constituency chairman. Further citing reasons why he didn’t involve in campaigning for Issahaku Tahiru Moomin to become the MP, he stated that he was using his personal funds during the campaign, hence see no reason why he should campaign for a candidate who keeps funds meant for the exercise to himself.
Mr. Ali Kamara has been the Wa Central Constituency Chairman since 2010. He confirmed he will run for re-election as the NPP conducts its internal elections this year, saying it is a call by party members in the constituency not to leave as yet. He expressed confidence that he will retain the position as the NPP constituency chairman for the Wa Central.
The Wa Central New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman Mr. Ali Kamara over the weekend accused the Wa Municipal Chief Executive Alhaji Issahaku Moomin Tahiru of interfering in the party’s polling station elections.
He said the action by MCE was to help remove him from his position as the Constituency Chairman.
He accused the MCE of instructing his boys to forcefully take away completed forms from the Zongo Electoral Area Coordinator.
He said they gave them a hot chase but could not get the boys who carried out the act, so they quickly reported the matter to the Wa Municipal Police Command on Sunday evening.
Mr. Kamara however denied getting people to vandalize the Municipal Chief Executive home on Sunday.
Mr. Ali Kamara advised the Wa Municipal Chief Executive to concentrate on his office work and allowed him to carry out his duty as the constituency chairman.
Though the MCE has remained silent on the issue, he has taking to his Facebook account to ask what he has done wrong that will warrant the constituency chairman to order his boys to vandalized his home
Tahiru Issahaku Moomin wrote, ‘’First my home was vandalised. Now, seventeen electoral area coordinators are being mobilised to write a petition against me. For what offense?..... “
The police is yet to make any arrest.
