The truck rammed into the concrete barriers before eventually crashing
A road user on the Adukrom-Somanya Road in the Eastern Region captured the moment a truck transporting furniture overturned and spilled its load after slamming into concrete barriers along the stretch.
In a video published on X by EdHub on September 25, 2025, the driver of the truck is seen ramming the side of the vehicle into the concrete barriers while navigating sharp curves on the hilly road.
The video captured from the front seat of a pickuo then cuts to a scene where the truck is lying on its side, with the load scattered along the roadside.

It is unclear what caused the accident; however, in a brief interaction between some eyewitnesses and the truck driver, he is heard stating that he suffered a brake failure.
“The issue is that down there, my brake burst,” he stated.
A half-year report by the National Road Safety Commission, covering the period between January and June 2025, showed an upward trend in road crashes compared to the same period in the previous year.

The report indicated a 9.6% increase in road crashes, a 21.6% increase in fatalities, and a 10.6% increase in injuries.
