Mr William Acheampong was elected Regional First Vice Chairman with Mr. R. Y. Amoako as Second Regional Vice Chairman.

Other officers elected included Mr Godson Alorzuke, Regional Secretary, Mr. A. Quayson, Assistant Regional Secretary, Mr Kweku Tumi, Regional Organiser, Miss Rose Kudadey, Regional Women's Organiser, Miss Naomi Arthur and Miss Rosemary Agyemang both Assistant Regional Women Organisers.

The election was conducted by officials from the Western Regional Electoral Commission and supervised by Mr Abubakar Alhassan, National Chairman, Professor Nii Noi Dowuona, National General Secretary, Mr Mike Eghan, National Second Vice Chairman and Mr Johnny Babsen, a founding member of the party.

Addressing the elected officers later, Dr Alhassan said Ghanaians were fed up with the poor performance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and were looking up to the CPP to save them from their hardships.

He, therefore, charged them to put more efforts into their campaign to ensure that the CPP wins the 2004 general election in order to give hope to disappointed Ghanaians.

He advised them to bury all their differences and to work as a team to bring the party into the limelight and restore its past glory.
