Wife of an armed robber identifies dead robber

Jachie (Ash), Jan 11, GNA- Ajara Seidu, a 22-year-old wife of one of the armed robbers who was arrested at Aputuogya in Ashanti on December 28, last year, when they raided a kraal, has identified one of the robbers who was shot dead as Karim, a friend of her husband.

She also said her husband currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) under police guard was called Salifu Mohammed and not Nuhu Musah as was reported by the police.

According to Jachie police, Ajara who is carrying a one-year-old child of an arrested robber who she identified as her husband. She said her husband was the best friend and business partner of Karim, and both of them sold onions and sometimes sold cattle at "Bola Ho" near Dr Mensah lorry-park in Kumasi.

The police said the woman came to enquire about her husband after hearing of his arrest on the radio and during interrogation she identified a photograph of Karim.

The police said on the New Year's Day, they took Ajara to KATH where she identified her husband, Salifu Mohammed who is responding to treatment.
