Workers urged to use condoms

Nsawam (E/R) Sept. 17, GNA - Madam Fuseina Maude Williams, Managing Director of Maude Williams (MW) Company Limited, has stressed the need for workers to use condoms to avoid sexually transmitted disease. She said workers should also be faithful to their partners wherever they are, since most workers look for sex partners in the absence of their spouses. for other women to have sex with when their partners are not around.

Madam Williams said this at an HIV/AIDS workshop organized by her company MW Company workers, chiefs and the community.

MW Company is a building and road contractor firm currently construction a road from the town to Nsaakye Amanfro near Nsawam. She said unfaithful partners always bring confusion into the family, instead of educating their children and catering for them well. Madam Williams advised children in the community to take their education seriously, saying, "Education is the key to success".

Mrs Elizabeth Ahiavih, principal nursing officer at the Nsawam Government hospital said people living with HIV/AIDS should not be shunned, adding, "we must show more love to enable them live longer". The workers were taught how to use both male and female condoms properly.

Mr Cosmos Osei Daza, a supervisor in the company called the organizers of the workshop to continue with such programmes for the workers.

The chief of the town, Nana Obiri Korang II commended Madam Williams for organizing the programme and urged the workers to put what they have learnt into practice. SEPT 17
