The ceremony was graced by the YEA Regional Director, Hakeem Mahama
The Jomoro Municipal Office of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has held a handing-over ceremony at the Municipal Assembly Hall, during which newly recruited Community Police and Fire Service Assistants were officially assigned to their respective commands for effective supervision and management.
The exercise was undertaken to ensure the smooth integration of the beneficiaries into the operations of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service.
Their deployment is expected to strengthen efforts to maintain peace, order, and safety, while also enhancing community response to fire outbreaks and related emergencies.
The ceremony was graced by the YEA Regional Director, Hakeem Mahama, officers from the Regional YEA Office, commanders from both the Police and Fire Services, the Jomoro NDC constituency, staff of the Municipal YEA Office, and the Municipal Director.
In his remarks, the Regional Director commended the Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, for her instrumental role in securing additional slots for the constituency beyond the initial allocation, thereby increasing the number of young people benefiting from the program.
