The Tema Traditional Council has commended the Ghana Police Service for the peace the Tema Traditional Area is enjoying.
According to the traditional leaders, the new regional commander deployed to the area by the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has been effective in dealing with security matters.
Speaking at a ceremony in Tema when the IGP paid a courtesy call to the traditional council on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Tema Mankralo, Nii Adjetey Agbo, said the people are grateful for the leadership of the IGP.
"Your humility and respect for both the old and young in society are commendable. We appreciate your leadership. The commander you brought here has been very good and efficient in dealing with crimes in our communities."
"Because of you, Tema is safe, and we are grateful for your leadership," the Mankralo said.
On his part, the IGP thanked the traditional leaders for their support and collaboration with the police in the fight against crime in the country.
He noted that the police are servants of the people and must work to the satisfaction of the people.
