Youth groups asked to help sustain growth of the Church

Wiamoase (Ash), April 18, GNA-The Reverend Vincent Ackon Takyi-Mills, in-charge of Wiamoase District Riis Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Sunday called on youth groups in the church to help sustain the growth of the religious body. He also asked them to be faithful to God and refrain from anti-Christian behaviours.

Rev. Takyi-Mills was speaking at the enrolment and dedication of colours of the first company of the boys and girls brigade of the Church at Wiamoase.

The brigade, which is made up of 30 boys, 70 girls and 16 officers, is the sixth company in the Sekyere Presbytery and the eighth in the brigade district.

Rev. Takyi-Mills gave the assurance that the Church would assist the company in its activities and advised members to work hard to enable the group realise its objectives. Mr Joseph William Fynn and Mrs Beatrice Asamoah-Awuah, Ashanti and Northern Regional Organisers of the boys and girls brigade respectively, advised the company not do anything that could tarnish the image of the church.

Rev Dingle Adade Yaw Larson, Minister in charge of the Asante-Effiduase District Church, who dedicated the colours of the brigade, urged the company to ensure peace and love to win more souls for Christ.

Rev John Kwame Amaning, the Kumawu District Minister of the Presbyterian Church, presented the colours to the captains of the boys and girls brigade and advised the members to obey the rules of the group.
