Service personnel in Nkoranza under go orientation course

Nkoranza (B/A), March 4, GNA - Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive, has urged the National Service Personnel Association to help educate more people to register for the National Health Insurance Scheme for their well-being. Mr Appiah-Awuah was addressing about 120 Service personnel in the Nkoranza District at a day's orientation workshop organised by the district secretariat of the association to educate the participants about their roles and responsibilities.

He expressed appreciation to the Service personnel in accepting postings to the district and for serving in very deprived communities, which showed their commitment to help develop Nkoranza. The DCE advised them to exhibit good moral behaviours and attitudes and to be punctual to their work places.

Mr Appiah-Awuah pledged that the District Assembly support and assistance to them and urged them to render active service to the development of the communities, in which they work. The Reverend Kubi Asuamah Yeboah, Assistant Director in-charge of Budget and Administration of the District Education Directorate commended the personnel serving with the Ghana Education Service. Rev. Yeboah announced that with the support of the district branch secretariat of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the District Directorate of Education would organise an in-service training for the Service teachers to equip them with the basic methodologies of teaching to enable them to perform to expectation. He advised them to live above reproach and participate in community development programmes to win the trust, confidence and respect of the people.

Mr Richard Kwasi Hinneh, Nkoranza District Director of Health Services appealed to the Service personnel to help educate the people on the causes, dangers and effects of HIV/AIDS.
