Sun, 9 Jul 2006 Source: GNA

Kuntanase (Ash), July 9, GNA - Mr Bright Addai-Mununkum, District Chief Executive for Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma, has expressed concern about the low revenue mobilization in the district and has therefore called on the Area Councils to evolve strategies to step up increase in revenue collection. He said this when he presented 20 bicycles to five area councils to enhance revenue mobilization in the district at Kuntanase on Saturday. The beneficiary councils were Kuntanase, Trede, Twedie, Jachie and Boniso. Mr Addai-Mununkum urged the councillors to take good care of the bicycles and use them for their intended purposes. The DCE said the assembly would provide motorbikes to them when they are able to mobilize enough revenue for the assembly. Mr Cosmos Acquah, Chairman of the Jachie Area Council, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the assembly for the gesture and pledged to make good use of them. 09 June 06
