More organisations donate towards Adansihene's burial

Fomena (Ash), Jan 25, GNA - More organisations and institutions continue to donate cash and drinks towards the burial of the Omanhene of the Adansi Traditional Area, Nana Ofori Agyeman II. Nana Ofori Agyeman, 69, who died on July 15, 2005, would be buried on Thursday, February 1, after four days of mourning at the Fomena Bonsra Afriyie palace.

The latest organisations to donate were the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands (OASL) and the management of the Community Nursing Training School at Fomena.

The OASL donated five million cedis, four bottles of schnapps and four crates of soft drinks and the School gave out one million cedis, two bottles of schnapps and four crates of soft drinks.

Dr (Mrs) Matilda Fiadzigbey, the Administrator of Stool Lands, said she had a personal working relationship with the late Omanhene. She said her office had been working with the Adansi Traditional Council, a major beneficiary of the country's mineral royalties. Nana Baffour aboagye Agyeman, Krontihene of Fomena expressed the Council's appreciation to the OASL and the school for the donation.
