Nsawam (E/R), Nov. 19, GNA - Dr Godfred Osei Bonso Twum, Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem South, has urged the inhabitants of the municipality to plant trees as wind breaks. He said this after a rainstorm had hit the area rendering about 314 persons, including school children, homeless at the weekend. He identified the affected communities as Obutchere, Kwasikrom, Aduakrom, Kwamiboafokrom and Apremso. Dr. Osei Twum said the government would assist the victims. Mr. Kwabena Asante, Municipal Co-ordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), appealed to non-governmental organisations and philanthropists to assist the victims since the government alone cannot take care of them.
