The Private Universities Students’ Association of Ghana (PUSAG) has extended its warmest congratulations to Rashid Ibrahim on his election as President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).

In a statement signed by the PUSAG President, Ibrahim Lssah, the Association lauded Mr Ibrahim’s commitment to student welfare, his exemplary leadership qualities, and the faith reposed in him by the Ghanaian student community.

“Your victory represents the voice of resilience, inclusiveness, and vision among Ghanaian students. We at PUSAG are confident that your tenure will bring renewed energy to student advocacy, unity, and national development,” the statement read.

The release further emphasised PUSAG’s readiness to maintain an open-door policy for collaboration with NUGS, aimed at strengthening student representation, harmonising efforts on educational reforms, and fostering innovative partnerships between public and private tertiary institutions.

“PUSAG looks forward to working closely with your administration to champion policies and initiatives that reflect the shared aspirations of students across Ghana,” the statement added.

PUSAG reaffirmed its belief that strong collaboration between student unions remains vital to amplifying the collective voice of young people in shaping Ghana’s educational and socio-economic future.
