The Member of Parliament for Salaga North in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Alhassan Mumuni, has demonstrated his commitment to education by paying the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) mock examination fees for 2,382 final-year students in the constituency.

The MP presented a cheque for Twenty-Seven Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢27,000.00) to the Salaga North District Education Directorate to cover the cost of the district-wide BECE mock examinations.

According to Alhaji Mumuni, the initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents, improving academic performance, and adequately preparing BECE candidates for the national examinations.

He urged the candidates to take full advantage of the opportunity to revise what they have learned and prepare thoroughly for the exams, adding, “I know you will make the district very proud.”

Alhaji Alhassan Mumuni has previously supported several educational initiatives in the constituency, including providing financial assistance from his Common Fund to needy but brilliant students and promoting girls’ education through material support.

Recently, forty (40) needy but brilliant students received a total of Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢20,000.00) from the MP’s Common Fund.

The MP has also launched a bicycle support initiative to assist female students who travel long distances to school, particularly those attending institutions such as the KM Model Girls School.

The Salaga North District Education Directorate, on behalf of the BECE candidates, expressed its gratitude to Alhaji Alhassan Mumuni for his continued benevolence and support for education in the district.
