Kwame Asiemoah Jr (L) making the presentation
The Volta Regional Deputy Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Kwame Asiemoah Jr, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening youth political structures in the Volta Region by donating a laptop to St Francis College of Education during the institution’s handing-over ceremony in Hohoe.
According to Asiemoah Jr, the gesture forms part of efforts to empower the party’s student wing, the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), and other student leadership structures to help build a new generation of disciplined and well-informed leaders.
He noted that strengthening youth participation in politics requires practical support rather than rhetoric, stressing that investment in student leadership is key to consolidating the party’s grassroots base and preparing future leaders.
Kwame Asiemoah Jr expressed appreciation to several party and government officials who contributed financially to the success of the programme.
“Empowering TEIN and student leadership structures is central to consolidating our base and preparing a new generation of disciplined, informed, and committed leaders. Political renewal requires practical investment — not just rhetoric,” he stated.
These include the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu; the Regional Executive Committee of the NDC led by Chairman Mawutor Agbavitor; the Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Worlanyo Tsekpo; and the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, Prosper Kumi.
He also thanked the Hohoe Constituency Chairman, his executives, and party supporters in the area for their support.
Asiemoah Jr emphasised that the party’s “Reset Agenda” must begin at the grassroots level, adding that empowering young people within tertiary institutions remains central to that vision.
