National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has urged the party's parliamentarians and government appointees to remain truthful and honest to their constituents.

He made the call at a rally in Okaikwei South, part of his nationwide "Thank-You Tour", warning that "there is always disgrace to everyone politician who always lie to the people of Ghana".

Asiedu Nketia emphasized that the NDC's credibility hinges on the personal conduct of its elected officials and public servants, saying "our people have endured enough broken promises and empty rhetoric". He stressed that honesty, transparency, and accountability are essential for good politics, adding that anything less would be a disgrace to the party and the nation.

The "Thank-You Tour" aims to recognize party activists, volunteers, and local officials who supported the party's performance in the 2024 elections. NDC MPs and appointees, including Okaikwei South MP Ernest Adomako, echoed the chairman's call for integrity, with Adomako stating that "honesty is not just a slogan; it is a survival strategy for our democracy".

Asiedu Nketia's call for honesty comes as a reminder of his previous emphasis on ethical conduct, where he warned that "continuous dishonesty erodes public trust and weakens the foundation of any political party".
